At 6pm cycling into Brighouse from Queensbury the passenger in YS03 MKW, a boy-racer chav-mobile, decided it would be a good idea to reach out and grab the sleeve of my cycling jacket as they were going past. This was in a 40 limit, so I can only assume they were doing 40mph. I was doing 15-20mph. I was doing nothing wrong, minding my own business. Fortunately this did not impede my progress but could have turned out much worse.
I decided to give chase to catch the chav-mobile at the lights. I don't think they expected a cyclist doing 30mph frothing at the mouth catching them up as they got stuck behind other cars. Unfortnately the chav-mobile turned off at the junction with Lightcliffe Grammar School. Cowards!

T915 OHD - red Vauxhall / Barnsley
Today's incident is dedicated to T915 OHD. Frustrated behind another driver waiting for an overtake, the red Vauxhall came barrelling past blarring the horn with the female passenger shouting the window that well known cliche "Single file." Actually, cyclists are quite entitled to ride two abreast (there is nothing contrary to it in the Highway Code) and had thinned out as the road narrowed. BTW, what the Highway Code DOES say is "do not use your horn as a form of retribution".
A few minutes later we came across the same vehicle. It had caused an obstruction in the road. As the driver was unable to park directly outside the house they intended to visit (to drop something off I presume) it was abandoned in the road. Effectively this was triple parking. How ironic! We have standards here, TWO!
So, today's award for ignorant and impatient driving goes to T915 OHD.
